Take the sit throw-down challenge. You can find Dr. Ian Dunbar’s sit test here – www.clickersolutions.com Post a video response showing how you’ve helped your dog to generalize “sit.” FYI – - the points don’t matter. And the winner – well that’s everyone who helps his/her dog generalize this behavior using positive training methods. No boot camp required. Learning shouldn’t hurt – your dog can learn to happily respond to cues off-leash without pain or intimidation. Be sure to stop by Lisa’s channel at www.youtube.com . What a great idea and you have shown some great ways to practice this all important skill! Thanks so much to all of you!
Cool!
This is AWESOME!! I don’t think many people with a sighthound would believe their dog could do the sit from running or recall. Great job!!
You are too funny!
The Dobie & the GSD aren’t mine. They belong to my training buddies. We get together for R+ training sessions & to learn from each other. We had a blast doing this. Have to say – Pride surprised me with how fast he was able to generalize his ‘sit’ into these different situations. I think it’s all that trick training. It improved our communication and focus (his and mine).
OK, Marge. Have I told you lately that I love you? And Rounder? And Pride? Because I do. Fantasticism abounds here. Who are the other pups? When did you get a Dobie and a GSD?

Love it! My girl Jade is getting close, but I still have a ways to go!
Yes, the clothes
My little Dober girl would have frozen that day in the 35 degree Florida weather if I hadn’t put her coat and neck gaiter on!
Sit Happens!
Wow, those dogs are amazing. Count me in for the challenge.
Ah, the clothes… this is sunny, warm Florida and we were having a heat wave – got all the way up to 35 that day.
Anita & the (naked) GSDs
Love it! How about sitting in the forest? Or sitting in the middle of playing with another dog? Or sitting in water? LOL! Anything is possible with a well-trained dog!
This was really cool!
I don´t understand the clothes on one of the dogs, though….
Yep. Visit trainyourdogmonth to learn more. Happy training.
