Smart dog hope to train mine similarly
You’re a very good trainer. Could you give me some tips?!
Hey There! Thanks a lot for this useful video. By the way, I hear lots of people keep on talking about Xobodog Training (do a google search), but I’m not sure if it is really good. Have you considered this dog training program known as Xobodog Training? I have heard many great things about it.
@davefromjax i am not a pro im onley 15 i own a red fox lab vary nice well behaved if you get a puppy start erliey like in the 1 to 2 years old they learn super quik and reqier alot of attenton since their natoreec to hip probs dont feed them alot when they get board they want to eat also get a fence around your yard the love running off to hunt the are curriess about every thing (sp on alot of words ) srry i have a speech prob
Hunter is a good boy! Any advice for me on books or videos to train my future retriever?
NICE DOG! WELL TRANED
you go shoot yourself
awwww me too except mines just yellow.
the only negative thing i saw was the dropped bird….. but besides that hunter was doing a very good job. i can see him doing well out in a blind (unlike my uncles very loud lab). oh ya screw all the negative comments you got, its your dog and your life and its none of their business
looks like how they do it on water dog to me
I’m 14, just got my 10 week old yellow n black mix, hoping to train him like this this spring and summer, he’s a smart dog and hopefully can pick it up. Thanks for the video
i gave the same advice to your mother….. too bad the cunt didnt listen.
dude fuck off maybe your mom should shoot you and start from scratch
dude fuck off
stop hunting birds its call animal cruelty dumb ass
You’re absolutely fucking stupid… Let’s let the population get out of hand and you’ll be the one talking then.
Mallard is yummy.
hehe…”you moron” made me lol. Great work bro, blow off the rude comments. I just found your video. Thanks for posting. Few years back gave up a Chesapeake, good hunter but horrible family pet. I am starting a Golden Ret. this winter. Hunter looks like a beautiful dog. Lucky Hunting to you!
hunting birds is call animal cruelty
better then my dog.. haha
i have an 8 month old chocolate lab named emma and i cant seem to get her to heel.
any suggestions?
I named my lab hunter hes 4 now but hes a good dog were takin him out this year he needs a bit more training into him but hell pick alot of it up while hunting
GREAT WORK! i have a 12 week old yellow and i am going to strive for this type of training.
How much does it cost for me to send my dog to you to get trained
Ohmygod what a great dog!!! He did a wonderfull job in this video. I love labrador retrievers. I have one to, I’m training really hard with her to achieve this to!
Great Job!!! How long did it take you to get him to be such a pro!!! Me and my girl are waiting for a litter right now and Im so pumped to get my lab and get to train like this! do you have any tips??? what are some of the challenges that you faced??? I can use any info right now im in the prep stage!!! Great looking dog and keep it up! Love the name too!!!!
all labs like water. it’s in their nature. you just have to introduce him correctly. he’ll do it. good luck
too bad my labrador doesnt like water
the dog heels on the right because the owner is obviously left handed…
I just finished “water dog” and am working on another retriever book. I’ll be training myself, and you are doing a great job. Standing in front and sending to the duck you want is a very clear signal to the dog, I’ll be doing some of the same. Great vid
listen buddy every one has there own techniques in training he has his own and obviously you have your own his must work for him
I’ll do that if you want to swim out there to retreive our ducks this year.
Horrible job. Technique couldnt be more wrong. If I were you, I would shoot the dog and start from scratch with a new one. If your gonna do something then ya need to do it right. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Going to the last dropped duck? I think your the fucking moron come on. That is not a true statement at all have you even trained a dog. Another question why does the dog have to heel to the right? It doesn’t matter just has to be the same side. I think this guy did a great job training this dog.
Also it doesn’t matter what side the dog heels to as long as it’s the same side all of the time thats more important than left or right.
Very very good job training this dog. Looks to me like he is 9 months or younger. The only thing I would do differently is to not train this long every time. Also you should pick up half of the dokkens yourself and teach the dog that retrieving is a reward and after watching this vid it’s probably been done he is a very patient dog and obviously well trained. I was impressed when you threw the distraction dokken out when he was just about at the original mark then a whistle to correct him.
Thanks man. I took him out on my first hunt and limited out on Teal in about 1.5 hrs. People were shooting all around us at The Great Salt Plains in Jet, OK. He did good, but didn’t focus as well as 1 on 1 training during his first hunt. I’ve taken him out about 20 times now this year and he is catching on quickly. While in the blind he’s watching the sky for birds now. I’m trying to get a video put together of me and friends duck hunting this season. Good luck to yourself
Your doing a great job training Hunter, if your happy with how he is doing, and it works for you, then disregard thsome of these rude comments. If you would like some suggestions, Please let me know, I would be more then glad to point some things out. Otherwise, happy hunting.
That is an awful pompeous attitude you have scofo35!If he shoots left handed then he is doing fine. This is not training for a trials dog,so any training that gets the dog to do what you want is good training. The pup looks happy. Next time you make a comment like like yours make sure it is in the proper context. If this were a trials dog, then you may have some validity. But for a man and his dog, who just want to hunt, then he is on the right track. by the way, I do Train Dogs.
