will reddell says:

Ok, now do it with a dog that isn’t already perfectly trained.

My puppy is Big! He likes to pull a lot. It’s so funny to see him sitting in a chair. I shouldn’t have taught him that. lol.

How I got my 8week old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy to walk outside on a leash for the first time – Stuck him on a lead carried him to the middle of an empty parking lot put him down and said ‘come on’ in a high tone happy voice and gave him a little tug and he was running and having great fun. Stuff treats and toys, I didn’t use anything!

tomaszombie says:

She has a funny voice!!!

AddictedNonsense says:

Biggest issue I have with my lil pup is that he’ll walk for awhile then just plop down refusing to go any farther and does this quiet a few times during his walk. Hopefully as he get used to it he’ll stop doing that.

Omg y r we all watching this? U know howcast had to train THEIR dogs with no video, right? Well ya so there being really nice…

Turban Mcfukerface says:

The best thing I’ve done with my dog is to walk him on the same side every time. If he pulls on the leash, I stop. I will try and direct his attention to me and reward him or her with good words when he does and continue. Eventually you want your dog to know that as long as they feel the leash is loose, they get to go forward! After awhile they’ll also learn that if they are patient and stay with you, you will reward them by letting them come back to spots they wanted to sniff around at later.

wolverine1865 says:

anyone know the best way to get a pup to walk on one side. trying to get my 14 week old golden to walk on my left side but she just leaps around everytime i try to keep her on that side

9Victoria3 says:

Well…walk on the concrete! That’s why she thoroughly explained to NOT train in the grass ;)

LilMissGiggles63 says:

@SophiePage143 How about you TRAIN YOIR PUPPY first? Geez, it’s an extremely simple concept.

SophiePage143 says:

ffs I need to know how to walk an UNTRAINED puppy not a trained one! -.-

richhall1712 says:

decipleofjesus777 says:

hahahaha YES

kåre johan says:

make a boy version?

Pam Capone says:

You don’t need a “untrained” dog to use this persons technique. I used it on our 2 month old puppy and she learned to walk on a leash within 2 weeks. Those of you who have to comment on using a trained dog use your brain and stop leaving stupid comments

msiellevehc says:

- So did mine, and he was sleeping until he heard it xD

ltloganwaffle0 says:

im gonna try to make this a little harder by going faster then slower :)

GingerTheCarrotTop says:

This is the biggest issue that I have had with my dog(s), is that she “pulls” like crazy! Recently though we’ve begun training on a daily basis, and I can tell that she’s really improved. I know that there’s still more that I can do on my part though, so I’m just trying to learn a few extra tips for training her to walk correctly outside. huh… Now, just if those stupid squirrels didn’t exist I think pulling wouldn’t be such an issue with her… lol X)

TheAGdollLuvr says:

Lol, that’s hilarious. x) Yeah, my puppy heard the squeaky toy in a different vid and she ran over to me, walked off, and came back with her toy

TheAGdollLuvr says:

This is good, but we can all see this dog is already trained.

alysiamonet says:

look this up–helped me sooo much! “SHAPING POLITE WALKING with a HIGH RATE OF REINFORCEMENT – PART 1OF 3 “

soundguy6 says:

dog is already trained. what a crock

daleortena says:

Thank you for the theory. I can see that your points are what we need to practice.

LadyPeachWicket says:

My dog heard the squeaky toy in this video and ran & stared at her own squeaky toy for like 2 minutes thinking it squeaked on its own

c0rreiax says:

get an untrained puppy you piece of shit expert village good for fuck all

MikaleOle says:

Good for you.

sk8terchuy619 says:

you cant “teach” it something if it already knows how to do it.

jblackmel says:

Why do these people show us the “how to vids” with dogs that are ALREADY TRAINED??? Why don’t they show us these nifty tricks with an “UNTRAINED” dog. These people create these “how to” vids under perfect condition (no trees, no fire hydrants, no sqirrels, cars, noise or other pets). Please show us how to teach a dog how to walk on a leash with an untrained dog that pulls?
