dogs are fucking insane.
Utterly ridiculous. If a dog has an OCD disorder, you really think that manhandling and bullying them is going to make it go away? Since OCD behaviors are brought on by stress, you may succeed in SUPPRESSING one behavior to have many more pop up to take it’s place.
what if your dog is not 60pound pit or golden but rather a 200pound Caucasian Shepherd with the bite over 700+psi bite:)? lol
This Is Sooo Helpful I Have A GSP And And Australian Shepherd, Both Have Their Own Issues And I’ve Been Watching These Vids And They Are Really Helping The Problems, It Is Horrible To See All The Negative People In The World. How Would You Feel If Someone Criticized You and Your Passion? So Sad To See How Humanity Treats Others. I Still Like the Vids
Idiot, try and alpha role a dog and you get bitten. This technique is out dated, dangerous and ruins any bond you had with you the dog.
Someone who actually cares about the wellbeing of another living being rather than finding the quick, dirty way of doing things. If you don’t want to get a real education about it, don’t talk like you know anything about it when you don’t. If you really want to know more check out the real experts who are CPDT certified or check out the APDT website for information on what different certifications mean and how to choose a trainer.
An before this goes any further, lets just agree to disagree. although I do see parts of where you’re coming from.
Plus, who in the world would take classes that cost money in college that takes 2-4 years, to do something that’s free, convenient, effective, non harmful, an takes a few weeks maybe less? Irrelevant man ‘cmon.
You’re exaggerating lol. I don’t see a rope, and to train a child without physically harming them, you put them in timeout, yes sometimes you have to hold them there before they stay. And also, you only yank on a dogs chain to let them know they are wrong. they are living being but we are the dominant species, haven’t you realized that if you study so much? I’m going to school to be a vet, an dogs are my specialty.
Do you put a rope around a 5 year old childs neck and yank on it? Do you pin them to the floor? If so please call the police right now. It is child abuse and should be animal abuse. Like I said, a drop it command by clicker training and positive reinforcement is tons more effective. If you want further explaination, take the psychology courses I have on animal training and some on abuse. Real knowledge comes from studying not watching these horrible youtube videos.
He is treating him like a living being. Do you not tell a five year old to sit in a corner when he or she is bad? And how can you say this is an incorrect theory? Care to explain?
shut up like your a trainer
Doesn’t work well with children…they turn into resentful people.
Dogs are the same. They don’t respect you, they fear you.
this dude tries so hard shame but nah he nt so good
you are going to get one of your vict.. i mean clients hurt omg just stop
oh i get it now so if my dog tryes to bite me i sould pin it down and choke are u trying to teach us how train our dog or ufc
Dude u know shit that aggression to the dog…One day and i hope not that dog ur talking about might turn on is master…The alfa roll is given not forced…Ur not showing ur leader ur showing ur aggressors!
Dogs do not discipline each other like this. They pin in play as this is a predatory behaviour- great fun for them. Active deference in the canine world is shown by dogs voluntarily showing their vital organs- not dogs putting other dogs onto their backs. Furthermore, we are HUMANS, just because we try things dogs do does not mean that they will work. Dogs do not expect us to do these things are just become scared. So many people have been bitten doing these things.
bad ):
i know dogs can be obsessed with balls? think before you speak haha
I agree with you. I mean… I have grown up learning about dog’s body signs and all that – just because I do not have credentials, or a fancy degree hanging on the wall, or have lots of money, does not mean I do not know anything. I have people ask me about their dogs, because they notice my dogs behave very well (still working on anxiety lol) And everything I learned, on my own (spatial/spatial thinker
) works perfectly, without gaining fear/aggression in dogs.
What are you peoples problems? :S
Yes, we humans don’t put each other to the ground just like that.
But let me tell you, my older dog do exactly that to my pup to teach him how to behave. And this pup still loves her.
Alas you criticising people can’t see wheter this guy is disrespectful or not; you think that he is hurting the dog. He is not. Just shut up, of course your dog obeys you and your candy treats, but for real obedience you must do like the dogs do; for instance, putting them down.
Do you understand anything about dog body language?! If that dog gave you any more whale eye… YOU ARE CLUELESS. Do whatever you want with your own dogs, but stop giving advice when you have no idea what you are doing. Someone is going to get hurt because of your recklessness!!!
oh POOR DOG! what about you being the dog and that somebody do that to you would you like it? I guess no!
i bet you my dog is way better than yours. and yes i use the submit method and other training methods as well. again i bet my 2 and a half year old yellow lab is way better than your dog. quick example i bike with her and she doesnt need a leash, remember she is 2 and a half, she is actually still a puppy. biking with her on the busy sidewalks of chicago with a 95 pound dog crossing the street with her is a breeze again no leash. so with that said outdated? nah.
What planet has this guy come from? Oh yeah, the Cesar Milan Dog Whisperer Dominance Calm Submissive Choke Collar Poke The Dog planet. Try actually learning how dogs really learn, then use science to teach them in a positive, force-free way.
quote” Bio: Ryan Gwilliam has trained over 10 dogs. He specializes in obedience training.” End Quote that’s all i have to say, i’ve been training dogs for a while and this guys is one of the biggest jokes ive ever seen. this method is not the best
Victoria Stillwell has a much better approach! This is teaching your dog to fear you instead of what you are tryng to instill in him. Possitive training is the best way!
wow this kind of old ass training just pisses me off, he’s only stoped out of fear he needs to want to stop. >:/
try clicker training.
You are right in a way, but sometimes dogs don’t know what your point is; They might think you are teasing them or trying to abuse them. Thats maybe what some dogs think, but not all.
I just recently started to learn Dog Obedience as well. Ceasar’s methods are a very negative way to take dog training. Please read about Positive training. There is no respect between owner and dog with this negative fashion, only fear. You’re setting up an owner to get bit by showing them this method.
Check out the Tan dog @ 0:02 he was like hey buddy imma find a way outta this place. The white dog was like what the hell is going on lol. His dogs are trained but really dont show much love and trust. But you have to train and raise dogs like you want to I guess.
Hi I have taken animal behaviorist courses in L.A. and yes i agree with you, I do not chain the dog I am working with, we completely relax him, massage, etc. then work on consistency of not letting him mouth other dogs. It is hard work, does not happen over night.
This dog I am working with is good with laying down into submission. Other dogs could bite if you do that…
It is all about being consistent, dealing with the problem, not bandading it. Every dog is different too
@MrGandalf. If you are a dog trainer you know that you should seek help from a dogbehaviortherapist. There are other methods and therapies to deal with excessive mouthing, that are less dangerous that laying the dog down. When a dog is that persistent in mouthing, chances are that the dog has hierarchy problems. Forcing the dog into submission, might cause him to bite you or any other person trying to do so.
I am a dog trainer and yes this method you say would work on a dog that is not obessed COMPLETELY with mouthing. I am dealing with a dog like that right now, and find laying him down and submitting him is the only way to stop him
That depends on the type of ‘obsession’ your dog is showing. The bully in this clip is talking about a dog who is biting hands when playing. The dog is just playing and challenging you. Of course biting in your hands is not acceptable. You should stop the game immediately and ignore your dog completely. Go do something else, turn your back or leave the room. At first the behavior might get worse, but soon he will learn that him biting you means the game will end.
what is the proper way of dealing with it?
Your poor dog is like “What the heck is happening?” As you force him onto his side. xD
both of u shut up!!!
