This guy does know what he is talking about. That’s how I trained my dog to roll over, and all i have to say is roll over. You have to be patient. 1:53 minutes isn’t enough time to teach a dog roll over. He’s teaching these dogs the tricks for the first time.

I really like his positive reinforcement and that he didn’t use a dog that already knows how to roll over. Good trainer, good dog!

I don’t think you should reward him while you cheated. Because then the dog will get used to be cheated on and he will expect you to push him before even the dog starts rolling.
On the last trick, it was his left hand that he used to push on dogs front right leg.

try using another type of lure maybe switch up his treat or toy

my dog just stands up and and turns the other way to get his treat haha i’ve taught him other thing though like shake, donut, bow, sit, down and speak but i just can’t get him to roll over!! its so frustrating haha

the dog ran away afterwards… dumbass.. GSD are not the best dog to teach roll over.. they don’t like it.. they’re much longer than other dogs and have a hard time doing it.. another reason why they have hip problems..
He would learn better with no distractions, try it. The noise from the road and the other dog barking.
But, they sell books for dummies at petco. I think this is not great way to learn tricks.

yeah same here. I tried to train my dog but she just wanted to play. I tried to give her some snacks but she didnt want them. She just wanted to play.
